Taylor Stannard
Office Manager
Taylor began her law career at the age of 16, working as a temp for Hofheimer Family Law, filling in as a receptionist and working as a seminar coordinator at their “Second Saturday Divorce Seminar." She also spoke at the Battered Women’s conference in New York.
As she earned a Psychology degree from VCU in Richmond, she continued to work in law throughout her college career.
Taylor has great empathy for our clients, and cares deeply about their outcomes. She strives to build solid relationships with clients and ensure they are taken care of. She is very goal-oriented and organized, and loves to throw a themed party!
She resides in Midlothian with her wonderful husband and daughter, who is the light of their lives. She loves the beach, Sauvignon Blanc, and a good live classic rock band.
Barbara Armstrong
Paralegal
Barbara started out in an established Hampton law firm as a courier. She advanced to receptionist, then legal assistant and worked her way into becoming a paralegal.
She has experience in family law, criminal law, estate planning, guardianships & conservatorships, and has assisted in Medicaid applications.
Her friendly demeanor and caring attitude have often calmed the anxiety of our clients. She is a team player and an exceptional asset to the firm, working with John Haugh since 2021.
Barbara enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, especially with her granddaughters. Also, she loves sitting on the deck with a glass of wine and her husband of 23 years.
Kyle Allen
Paralegal
Born and raised in Newport News, Virginia, Kyle began his career as a Family Law paralegal in 2015 , and has worked with Shannon Lemm ever since.
His knowledge and skills as a paralegal are formidable. Kyle has the ability to connect with clients and treat them as though they are family, helping them to navigate one of the hardest times in their lives.
Be it a divorce, support, or custody and visitation matter, Kyle zealously advocates for the client for the best possible outcome.
Kyle is a lover of good food, wine, and craft cocktails, enjoys traveling for concerts, and creating lifelong memories with his friends.
Isabella Lemm
Legal Assistant
Isabella’s first job at the age of 15 was as a receptionist for a law firm. Her career has since progressed with managerial experience in health care.
She is now working again with established attorneys to further her professional life, as well as gaining more life experience in becoming a more educated and successful person in any area of life she chooses to pursue in her future. Isabella believes that learning from an intelligent and strong-willed community will help her cultivate the traits in herself that she needs to become the best version of herself.
Isabella is an experienced musician, she loves to read, and her best quality is her loyalty.
Elizabeth Matthews
Legal Assistant
Elizabeth is a dedicated legal assistant with a strong background in client support and administrative excellence. A lifelong Virginia resident, Elizabeth graduated from Denbigh High School. She built a successful career as a medical assistant for over ten years before taking time to focus on raising her family.
Her compassion, attention to detail, and genuine care for others now shine through in her legal work, where she provides invaluable support to both clients and attorneys. Elizabeth takes pride in helping clients feel heard and supported throughout their legal journey.
She resides in Poquoson with her husband and their two boys. Outside of the office, she enjoys going to the gym, creating cocktails, and cheering on college football.
